SHIP2FAIR project organizes a workshop in Bodegas Roda on the possibilities of thermal solar energy in the wine production
The objective of the meeting is to present, in situ and in a practical way, how to integrate solar thermal energy into agri-food industrial processes in a sustainable and economically viable way. In this case, Bodegas Roda will show first-hand workshop assistants how they are integrating renewable energy into their industrial production.
In addition, during this meeting, the latest advances of SHIP2FAIR H2020 project, funded by the European Commission -Solar Heat for Industrial Process towards Food and Agro Industries commitment in Renewables-, will be presented at the demonstrators that are being worked on, specifically in Roda wineries.
After the presentation, the dialogue between the participants will be promoted, who will have the opportunity to offer their point of view at discussion tables. The objective is to assess their interest and expectations regarding the proposed innovations, as well as identify possible barriers to the market introduction of the methods and tools developed during the project. This workshop is specially aimed at managers / directors of industrial plants in the agri-food sector, workers or collaborators in industrial food production projects and wine producers. About the SHIP2FAIR project
The project, led by the CIRCE Foundation, began on April 1, 2018 and its main objective is to promote the integration of thermo-solar energy in industrial processes of the agri-food sector through the development and demonstration of a set of tools and methods, applicable to the most representative processes of the industry. The demonstration and validation will be carried out in four representative industries of the agri-food sector: distillation of alcoholic beverages (Italy), ham cooking (Loste Tradi-France, France), sugar refining (RAR Group, Portugal) and fermentation and stabilization of wine (Bodegas Roda, Spain).
SHIP2FAIR is a project developed by 15 partners from 8 European countries, with the support of the European Commission. On the part of Spain Agro-food Cooperatives of Spain, CIRCE and Bodegas Roda participate.
