Workshop in Getxo (Vizcaya): Innovative Approaches to Circular Economy and Their Practical Applications
On September 24th, a workshop will be held to introduce Circular Economy concepts and actions for key stakeholders in Getxo: Citizen and Consumer Associations, Local Businesses, and Administration. The goal is to transition from a linear to a circular economy. Activities include creating incentive systems in collaboration with the local government and businesses to encourage citizens to collect unused electrical and electronic products (like tablets or mobile phones) for recycling and reuse.
Four roundtables
Four key stakeholders promoting Circular Economy will participate in roundtable discussions on:
- Incentives as tools for promoting separate waste collection
- Recognition models for local businesses fostering Circular Economy
- Legislative hurdles and potential solutions
- Challenges in daily operations to reuse or recycle in Getxo, developing solutions with the moderation team of the CIRC4Life project.
About the project
CIRC4Life is a European research project involving 17 partners from 8 EU countries aiming to develop and implement Circular Economy business models primarily in two sectors: electrical and electronic products (mainly tablets and LED lighting systems) and food and organic waste in cities.
