CIRCE will present its new tool for test automation in digital substations at ENLIT Milan 2024

The technology centre will present the latest innovative solutions and projects in the fields of energy transition, efficiency, smart grids and renewable energies.

Once again, CIRCE - Technology Centre will be present at ENLIT Europe 2024, one of the most important events in the international energy sector. The fair will take place at Fiera Milano di Rho, from 22 to 24 October.

At its stand, located in Hall 5, within the Spanish Pavilion, CIRCE will present the latest solutions and innovative projects in the fields of energy transition, efficiency, smart grids and renewable energies.

CIRCE Ranger, an advanced IEC61850 testing tool

The technology centre will present CIRCE Ranger, a new advanced solution for test automation in digital substations, specially designed for Distribution System Operators (DSO), Transmission System Operators (TSO) and IEDS manufacturers.

Benefits:

  • Test automation: speeds up the process, minimising human error and ensuring accurate results.
  • User-friendly interface: easy to use, even without advanced IEC61850 experience.
  • Adaptability: compatible with test protocols from different companies, adjustable to various equipment configurations.
  • Full traceability: comprehensive logging of all tests, facilitating audits.
  • Dedicated technical support: regular updates and technical assistance for optimal performance.

This comprehensive solution improves efficiency and reduces the time required for validation and certification of automation systems in digital substations.

Unlike other tools on the market, CIRCE Ranger combines advanced automation with an easy-to-use interface, allowing tests to be performed thoroughly and reliably without the need for a highly specialised technical profile.

IEC 62586-2 certification testing for power quality equipment

In addition, CIRCE will present its service, accredited for early 2025, for the certification of power quality equipment under IEC 62586-2, with a service available for Q4 2024. This service, offered at CIRCE's Electrical Metrology Laboratory (LME), ensures that equipment meets the accuracy requirements of IEC 61000-4-30.

Benefits:

  • Guaranteed compliance: ensures conformity with specifications for correct certification.
  • International validity: accredited and recognised service worldwide.

CIRCE intends to be the 4th laboratory in the world accredited to carry out these tests, which reinforces its position as a reference in the certification of network quality analysers.

Demonstrations at ENLIT MILAN 2024

During the event, CIRCE will conduct live demonstrations of its tools and services. Attendees will be able to learn first-hand about CIRCE Ranger's advanced capabilities and the IEC 61000-4-30 / IEC 62586-2 certification testing process for supply quality equipment.
