"In search of the definitive energy": a scientific conference in the V edition of the Tuesday of the Paraninfo
The University of Zaragoza has organised the 5th edition of "Los martes del Paraninfo". An initiative in which, through an extensive programme of lectures given by emeritus professors from the University, topics of interest in various fields of science and knowledge will be addressed. The lecturers, after completing their legal active period, have been chosen 'emeritus' by the University, because of their curriculum and their prestige, and they continue to carry out research and teaching work. They have a notorious scientific projection and add a long academic life to their extensive experience in higher education. In order to continue its work of disseminating knowledge in all areas of science and knowledge, the University of Zaragoza organises this cycle of conferences, which deal with current issues relating to history, art, literature, geography, politics, society, medicine, health and technology, presented by these renowned experts. About Mariano Sanz Badía
Professor emeritus of Electrical Engineering, he was the creator of the Electrical Division of CIRCE. Pioneer in Spain in the teaching and Industrial Applications of Power Electronics with Silicon techniques. Worldwide pioneer (in collaboration with the industries with which various patents are held) of developments in static drives for lifts, induction heating for cold surface kitchens, inductive charging of batteries of electric vehicles at rest and in motion, or power and speed control for wind generators.
