Thirty-eight students successfully pass the seventh edition of the course on integral management of packaging waste

The Department of Climate Change and Environmental Education of the Government of Aragon, ECOEMBES, ECOVIDRIO and CIRCE have celebrated the closing of this free course with a round table and the presentation of diplomas. The Specialization Course in Integral Management of Packaging Waste has celebrated the closing ceremony of its seventh edition with the awarding of diplomas to the thirty-eight students who have passed the course. The event also included a round table where representatives of the organising entities were able to exchange data, points of view, experiences and reflections on the challenges and opportunities of selective collection among themselves and with the students. The round table was moderated by Matilde Cabrera, Technical Advisor of the General Directorate of Climate Change and Environmental Education, who was accompanied by Fernando Blázquez, Northern Zone Manager of ECOEMBES; Rafael Mir, former manager of Waste Management Huesca SAU (GRHUSA); Ricardo Sevilla, manager of the Community of Madrid and Castilla La Mancha of ECOVIDRIO and David Zambrana, Course Director, on behalf of CIRCE. Likewise, during the day, David Zambrana presented the results of the course, as well as the evaluation surveys, and thanked the delivery and interest shown to the students. The event was also attended by Marta de Santos Loriente, Director General of Climate Change and Environmental Education of the Government of Aragon, who gave a presentation on the work being carried out by the administration in the waste management sector in Aragon and, in particular, the specific actions being taken to promote the proper management of packaging waste. Finally, Andrés Llombart, Director General of CIRCE, closed the day thanking the entities that promote the course: the Directorate General of Climate Change and Environmental Education of the Department of Agriculture, Livestock and Environment of the Government of Aragon, ECOEMBES and ECOVIDRIO. One of the keys to the success of this free course lies in the prestige of its teachers. Throughout the training, more than 26 professionals from different companies, public entities and specialists in the sector of packaging waste management have tackled the different phases of the waste management chain. From the Eco-design of the products to the collection and recycling of the waste generated, passing through the regulatory regulations or their technological and social aspects, the students have been able to learn in detail the characteristics of a professional sector in continuous growth.
