New 30 KW charging technology from CIRCE and Microchip Technology

Do you know our latest technological innovation in collaboration with Microchip Technology? It is a reference design for charging Electric Vehicles (EV) of 30 kW power.

Thanks to our years of experience leading solutions in power electronics, at CIRCE Technology Center we have applied our know-how to develop a charger that not only offers faster and more efficient charging, but is also highly adaptable.

The converter is composed of an ACDC and a DCDC module with a power of 30 kW, in Silicon Carbide (SiC), a technology known for its high efficiency and high frequency operation capacity. Its modular design allows paralleling to increase its capacity as required. The technology employed in this converter is a series resonant topology with galvanic isolation, which makes it ideal for applications requiring high demand and variability.

This innovative charger was presented a few weeks ago at the Applied Power Electronics Conference and Exposition (APEC) in California. It will be on display again at the Microchip booth at PCIM Europe, to be held June 11-13 in Nuremberg.
