Competitiveness and sustainability in the powder metallurgy industry
CIRCE will be one of the speakers at the next seminar of the EIT RAW Materials association, "Competitiveness and Sustainability in the Powder Metallurgy Industry". The event will take place within the framework of the Euro PM2018 International Congress, organised annually by the European Powder Metallurgy Association. On this occasion, the event will be hosted by the city of Bilbao, from 14 to 18 October.
Within this congress, a worldwide reference within the metallurgical sector, the seminar in which CIRCE will participate will be held on Wednesday 17th, and will focus on critical and strategic materials used in the field of powder metallurgy. CIRCE's presentation, entitled "Criticality and Thermodynamics of Powder Production", will introduce a methodology for analysing the criticality of elements, based on the use of thermodynamics, which integrates the energy costs of the production of advanced materials. The event will serve as a forum for the exchange of knowledge between experts from other centres specialising in these areas such as VTT, Tecnalia and Fraunhoffer, among others.
