Description of the course

Wind energy is the most mature renewable technology, as it has been part of the energy mix competing with other conventional energies for more than 2 decades. Furthermore, it is also the renewable energy with the most megawatts installed worldwide.

Its economic viability and energy independence means that new projects continue to be installed, and that it is counted on to mitigate energy prices. This fact means that new jobs are demanded both in the area of wind resource assessment and in the maintenance of the wind farms. CIRCE offers the opportunity to all those people who wish to specialize in this area by the hand of the best professionals, who carry out projects and deal with companies in this field on a daily basis.

CIRCE has been working in the wind energy sector since 1998, participating in the development of the first wind energy plans in Aragon, and during all these years has advised companies both in the design and operation stages of the wind farms. We have personnel with more than 25 years of experience in the sector and more than 20 years of experience in the training of specific personnel for wind energy.

Course Objectives

We want you to have a comprehensive overview of the wind industry, to specialize in this field that is in demand today, and will be in demand in the future, and to prepare you for a strong entry into a growing job market around the world.

1

A comprehensive and complete view of the wind energy sector and wind farms

2

Knowledge of wind energy, energy assessments and digitalization in operations

3

Handle from the fundamentals to advanced techniques in wind operations and maintenance

Course Syllabus

The introduction covers the basic principles of wind energy, including how electricity is generated by wind turbines and the advantages of using wind as an energy source

It delves into the planning and development of wind energy projects, a process that involves assessing the availability and characteristics of wind at a specific location to determine its viability for power generation

Learn how to design and optimize wind farms. It addresses how to plan the physical layout of wind turbines and evaluate the energy performance of the farm to maximize energy production and minimize costs

Learn how to ensure that the selected wind turbine can operate optimally in the site-specific wind conditions. This verification ensures the efficiency and longevity of the wind turbine, as well as maximizing energy production.

Learn the details of this machine that converts kinetic energy into electrical energy: its main components, types, operation, maintenance and operation, technologies and advances

This complex process ranges from site preparation to installation and commissioning of the wind turbines. This section of the course focuses on the key stages and technical aspects involved in setting up a wind farm.

Learn how to ensure the efficiency and longevity of wind turbines and maximize energy production throughout the life of the wind farm. This section of the course focuses on best practices and strategies for keeping wind farms operational and in good condition

Knows all the necessary procedures performed once the construction of a wind farm is completed to ensure that all components are working properly and that the wind farm is ready for commercial operation. This stage is crucial to verify the quality of the construction and installation, as well as to optimize the performance of the wind turbines.
