Energy simulation of buildings
Are you looking to optimize the design and energy efficiency of your buildings? We create accurate virtual models of the building, calculate thermal and electrical loads, pre-dimension energy installations, and study thermal comfort conditions and indoor air quality.
Description of the service
At CIRCE - Centro Tecnológico, we perform energy and comfort modeling, crucial for efficient planning and design of buildings. Through this service, architects, designers, and construction professionals can gain a thorough understanding of energy performance and comfort in a building before its construction.
This enables informed decision-making to optimize design, reduce energy consumption, and ensure a comfortable and healthy indoor environment. Additionally, it can significantly contribute to the sustainability and energy efficiency of the building.

Value proposition
Creation of a virtual energy model
Development of a 3D digital model of the building using specialised software such as EnergyPlus. This model accurately represents the geometry and features of the building, including walls, roofs, windows, doors and HVAC systems.
Calculation of thermal and electrical loads
The virtual energy model is used to calculate the thermal and electrical loads of the building. This involves determining how much energy is needed to keep the building at a comfortable temperature and to power all electrical systems, such as lighting, appliances and equipment.
Pre-dimensioning of energy installations
Based on the calculated loads, a pre-dimensioning of the energy installations required for the building is carried out. This includes air conditioning, heating, cooling, ventilation, lighting and renewable energy generation, such as solar panels or geothermal systems.
Study of thermal comfort conditions
Detailed analysis of the thermal comfort conditions inside the building. This involves assessing temperature, humidity, air circulation and other parameters affecting occupant comfort.
Indoor air quality
Assessment of indoor air quality to ensure that levels of pollutants and particulates are adequate for the health and well-being of the people who will occupy the building. Measures to improve air quality can be proposed if necessary.
Thermal performance study of new products
If new building materials or innovative systems are being considered, a study is carried out to assess their thermal performance and their impact on the energy performance of the building.
