Description and objectives
The Zem2All project is a unique initiative in Spain that will be carried out in the city of Malaga. Its objective is to carry out a test to verify the feasibility of the implementation of electric vehicles in the city, thus contributing to reduce the emission of polluting gases.
This initiative is promoted by the Spanish companies Telefónica and Endesa, and also has the collaboration of the Japanese group of companies Mitsubishi Corporation, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Hitachi. In addition, the Malaga City Council is participating through its Energy Agency of the New Technologies Area.
The project has a budget of 60 million euros, of which 50 million are provided by the Japanese government.
Both individuals and companies will participate in this "simulation".
Value proposition
To carry out this project, 23 charging points have been installed in the city of Malaga. Exclusive parking areas will also be set up for electric cars and these vehicles will be allowed to enter the city center.
In addition, there is the possibility of acquiring an electric vehicle (Mitsubishi iMiEV) on a leasing basis at a very economical price until December 31, 2015. A total of 200 vehicles are available. A charging point will be installed at your home (not free of charge), and you will be able to use the rest of the charging points installed in the city. You will also enjoy a 75% discount on the vehicle tax, and car maintenance will be included.
