Description and objectives
The development of sea wave energy means creating a new and very powerful area in the field of renewable energies and supporting the community objective of obtaining 12% of primary energy from Renewable Energies by 2010 and 20% by 2020. The project contemplates the construction and location in marine environment of two technological applications or exploitable products satisfying the existing demand, consisting of:
- (a) Autonomous maritime observation and surveillance device ( prototype of 5kW of installed power) whose development will also serve as system optimization, and will be used as a prototype and as a previous step to the manufacture of the next device.
- b) Energy buoy (200 kW installed power prototype).
Value proposition
The main objective of the INNPACTO Wave Energy Project is the development and demonstration of the usefulness of R&D&I projects based on PIPO Systems' APC-PISYS technology, through the construction and location in the marine environment of two technological applications or exploitable products to meet the existing demand.
Through this demonstration, the aim is to position this technology as an international benchmark in the tidal energy industry, and to generalize its use in different socioeconomic sectors, as well as to support the national energy systems through a more constant capture and generation of renewable energy, providing its own energy capacity to processes with high consumption (seawater desalination, etc.).
