Description and objectives

frESCO seeks to interact with ESCOs and aggregators, deploying innovative business models based on integrated energy service packages. These services combine local flexibility to optimize energy efficiency and demand-side management. It engages residential consumers through retrofit services, energy efficiency, distributed energy resources and smart home automation.

The goal is to customize packages for different customer groups, considering comfort and welfare. Goals include engaging ESCOs and aggregators to create innovative offerings, measure and verify performance, integrate ICT technologies, address regulatory barriers, and validate solutions in real environments. In addition, it seeks to promote the adoption of frESCO as a framework for next-generation energy services through dissemination and knowledge transfer at national and international levels.

Value proposition

  • Definition of Innovative Energy Services: We design cutting-edge energy services that adapt to changing market demands, offering solutions that go beyond the conventional and promoting the adoption of sustainable technologies.
  • Energy Savings Measurement Methodology Development: We create an accurate methodology to measure energy savings, prioritizing demand response and efficiency. This guarantees tangible and quantifiable results, strengthening transparency and confidence in the benefits of the project.
  • ICT Integration for Data Management and Monitoring: We implement state-of-the-art information and communication technologies (ICT) for efficient management and real-time monitoring of energy data. This enables agile and adaptive decision making, as well as greater visibility in the operation of the system.
  • Advanced Forecasting Model Generation: We developed an advanced forecasting model that encompasses energy generation and storage, as well as consumer demand. This tool provides predictive insight for strategic planning, optimizing efficiency and improving energy supply reliability.
