Description and objectives
DigInTraCE aims to develop:
- A transparent and interoperable decentralized traceability platform through the use of novel tracking, sensing and sorting techniques
- Dynamically updated data processing schemes to support quality certification and validation
- Artificial intelligence-based decision-making mechanisms for process and life-cycle optimization
- Recycling, reuse and upgrading technologies for better use of secondary materials
- Contribute to standardization, open data and easy access
- Business models that generate new economic opportunities and learning resources for employees, promoting new digital skills and meeting regional social needs
Value proposition
Solutions are demonstrated in the sectors of:
- Pulp and Paper focused on 2 cases: composite wood and furniture; and wood and Pulp and Paper
- Chemicals focused on 2 cases: plastic parts of ICT equipment and automotive market; and polymers and textiles: in 4 countries, while the composite wood case combines both main sectors
