Description and objectives

DATA CELLAR aims to empower Local Energy Communities (LECs) in the European Union through the creation of a public energy data space. Recognizing the importance of energy system digitization and data sharing, the project will implement a collaborative platform that will provide an interoperable, modular and secure data space.

This space will provide access to datasets, decision tools and artificial intelligence models to support LECs. Nine validation cases across the EU, with different levels of maturity and promoted by various stakeholders, will use DATA CELLAR. In addition, the project will drive cross-cutting activities such as EU energy scenarios and market planning.

It will focus on data collection and sharing between stakeholders, researchers and LEC tenants, exploring a rewarding tokenization approach. DATA CELLAR will address the ethical, regulatory, cybersecurity and governance aspects of data management and sharing, contributing to the creation of a federated EU energy data space.

Value proposition

  • Development of advanced algorithms: We create advanced algorithms to manage electrical flexibility in building, district and energy community environments. These algorithms enable the formation of an efficient flexibility offer for the system.
  • Optimization of the Flexibility Offer: We use specialized algorithms to optimize the flexibility offer, ensuring efficient management and adaptation to the changing needs of the power system.
  • Focus on specific environments: We tailor algorithms to work specifically in building, district and energy community environments, ensuring customized and efficient solutions.
  • Alignment with standards: We guarantee alignment with standards, ensuring that all solutions and developments comply with industry regulations and standards.
  • Business models and strategic deployment: We develop business models and deployment strategies that maximize efficiency and profitability in the implementation of information and communication technologies.
  • Deployment facilitation: We offer effective deployment models to ensure a smooth and successful implementation of information and communication technologies, from planning to execution.
