Description and objectives

The CRAVE project aims to turn the vehicle and its recharging installation into stabilizing elements of the electrical system, since the pole will serve to temporarily disconnect recharging from the electrical grid, eliminate electrical consumption peaks, provide stability to the grid and allow a large number of recharging systems at the same time.

The project has a budget of 500,000 euros and will last for two years. CIRCE submitted the research project to the Novare Awards, organized by Endesa every two years for the international scientific community, and has been one of the four winning projects (among more than 32 proposals received from different universities, scientific laboratories and companies from Spain, Chile, Colombia and Japan), specifically in the category of “Energy Storage” in the third edition of the awards.

Value proposition

The objective is to design an electric vehicle fast charging point that allows energy storage and the integration of renewables, with the aim of assisting system management.
