Description and objectives

The European residential sector consumes 2,300 TWh/year in heating, 500 TWh/year in hot water and <100 TWh/year in cooling. Construction is vital to Europe's decarbonization, but faces challenges due to the low building replacement rate and fragmentation of the sector.

Value proposition

BuildHEAT focuses on systemic solutions and innovative technologies for the deep renovation of residential buildings. These innovative solutions are costly, so financing models are needed. The objective of BuildHEAT is to mobilize private investment through European funds to encourage renovation. The initiative involves the entire building chain, from owners to investors, addressing technical, cultural and economic aspects, in order to raise awareness and promote energy efficiency in buildings.
