Description of the service

The measurement of solar radiation and the energy generated are key aspects for calculating the performance of a photovoltaic plant and, therefore, for verifying compliance with contractual obligations or investment plans. In this process, pyranometers play a fundamental role by providing reliable data on the amount of solar radiation received, allowing for precise calculations and informed decision-making.

At CIRCE, we are internationally accredited by ENAC/ILAC for the calibration of pyranometers, being the only laboratory accredited to perform this service with a solar simulator in Southern Europe.

(Service accredited by ENAC/ILAC at international level. You can consult in the following link our scope of accreditation).

In our facilities, we can perform the calibration of pyranometers at any time of the year, according to the indoor calibration procedure by comparison with a standard pyranometer as outlined in the ISO 9847 standard.

Once we receive the equipment at our headquarters, we can complete the work within hours. Depending on the number of pyranometers received, they can be sent back to your plant within 48 hours.

Value proposition

Quality of measurements

Ensuring the quality of irradiance measurements and performance calculation of solar plants.

No seasonality

Calibration can be performed at any time of the year, as it takes place indoors and is not subject to environmental conditions and seasonality.

More agile

The calibration process is faster as it occurs indoors under controlled conditions.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
