Description of the service
The Environmental Laboratory is a physical-chemical lab equipped to carry out analyses related to the characterization of solid and liquid samples, as well as various recycling treatments and chemical analyses. The recycling processes applied are hydrometallurgical and thermal. The hydrometallurgical processes involve extracting metals from a solid matrix (such as black mass from batteries) through oxidation with an organic or inorganic acid. Subsequently, these metals are isolated using selective extractions.
Thermal processes are also applied for the removal of adhesives, such as in the recycling of solar panels or the binder in black mass.

- Mass Spectrometer coupled with Gas Chromatograph - GCMS-QP2010 SE.
- INERT LAB 2GB Glove Box.
- Froth Flotation Equipment XDF-12.
- Auxiliary Equipment: Mill, ultrasonic bath, balances, pH meter, ovens...
- HTL Reactor (Hydrothermal Liquefaction).
